About Us
Emmaus Philippines Inc. is a non-stock non-profit corporation duly registered and organized under Philippine laws with Securities and Exchange Commission Registration No. 94046 dated 9 June 1980 with amended certificate dated 19 July 2018. The charitable organization was co-founded by the late Atty. Ciriaco S. Calalang, a public service lawyer and prime advocate of children’s rights and welfare. The corporate office is located at Unit 1401 Espana Tower, Espana Boulevard, Sampaloc, Manila and charitable function is located at the Emmaus Compound, Brgy. Rodriguez, Province of Rizal (beside Gov. Ynares Medical Center). Today, Emmaus is being managed by Atty. Joseph Ivan V. Calalang, CPA a full pledged legal counsel and certified public accountant and Christian S. Calalang, businessman, philanthropist and COO of PPI-JKG Philippines, Inc. and Power Plates Development Concepts, Inc. with a vision of modernizing the delivery and access of its charitable support and assistance to its stakeholders.
The purpose of Emmaus is to establish communities of the hopeless, abandoned, homeless, and depressed people who are helping themselves through the assistance of donors and supporters may then help others in similar situations.
To inform truly basic Christian communities where everyone can work and live together in such Christ-centered communities all throughout the countries.
To make such hopeless and depressed people to be useful by accomplishing something in spite of their handicaps in life.
To mobilize all possible resources, human and material, national and international, public and private, to carry out the foregoing objectives.
To conduct an information campaign on Federalism to increase public awareness on and support for Federalism as a form of government without however engaging in political partisan entity.
To receive donations, contributions, grants, presents and pledges in the form of cash, checks, and other cash equivalents, goods, and other properties, both real and personal from local and foreign benefactors, for the fulfillment of these purposes.
The Future of Emmaus (2020 and Beyond)
As Emmaus enters the new era of change and development, it seeks to partner with local and foreign donors who have the heart to help and assist individuals and families in this uncertain time of pandemic and natural calamities. The Philippines, which is badly hit by the Covid-19 disease heeds the call of the government to mobilize and solicit kind donors from corporations or individuals who can extend various financial and non-financial assistance to our worthy causes, as such, we have partnered with local and international donors to facilitate the timely delivery of medical supplies (N95 mask, face shield), research & development systems, and food packs in the service to the underprivilege Filipinos.
The financial assistance brought about by our donors will also provide the timely construction of our new corporate building in Sampaloc, Manila and other facilities in Rodriguez, Rizal that can highlight better charitable service to our stakeholders.
We thank our donors for giving us the opportunity to share and care the much needed assistance at this crucial time to the various communities and also assist the government in providing additional support to feed more hungry and shelter homeless Filipinos.
